Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) - 01Jan2018

It takes a photographic big year as the impetus to photograph this ever present species.  This was from day 1 of my 2018 Big Year starting at home in Wilmington.  By all accounts a striking bird, but familiarity breeds contempt.
