Antarctic Prion (Pachyptila desolata) - 20Feb2022

Antarctic Prions are the largest of the Prion genus which are small petrels of the southern oceans.  They look pretty similar to the Slender-billed Prions which also inhabit the same waters but as you can imagine have a more slender bill.  We saw ours in the Drake Passage across to Antarctica.
