White-breasted Nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis) - 07Feb2016

I never forgot some of the original trivia that triggered my fascination with birds.  With the White-breasted Nuthatch the trivia that my neighbor's father taught me was that it was unique because it could scale down tree trunks upside down.  This one was in Winston-Salem, NC.
