Great Curassow (Crax rubra) - 23&25Nov2016

Here is a species where the female actually has a more interesting plumage than the male.  These Great Curassows were photographed at Arenal Observatory Lodge in Costa Rica.  An interesting note in Wikipedia "When attacking humans, they curassows leap in fluttering flight and scratch about the head, targeting the eyes".  Luckily the ones I saw did not try any shenanigans.
