Although the range for this Chachalaca species is not huge, it does cross boundaries with birds in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and possibly Uruguay in the area known as the Pantanal. I saw them on my Brazil trip in 2022 and they were quite common and very loud in our hotel compound, competing with the Macaws for loudest birds in the area.
