Bonaparte's Gull (Chroicocephalus philadelphia) - 17Dec2016 and 08Apr2017

Cool fact about Bonaparte's Gulls, they are one of the only gulls that regularly nests in trees!  Of course I never see that because we get them in the winter in NC.  This one was photographed somewhere off Wrightsville Beach, NC.


Here is one in breeding plumage from the north end of WB in 2017.
