Update July 2024: I was right! It was split and now is called the Cuban Nightjar (previously Greater Antillean Nightjar).
Original Post: This is probably my favorite bird from the Cuba trip. Angel, the guide could not find it in the morning so while we were having lunch, he went back to Soplillar on his bike and found it for us so we could get it after lunch. We were very grateful. This will probably be split into its own endemic species soon.
