Semipalmated Sandpiper (Calidris pusilla) - 13May2016

One of the three common "peeps" we get here in southeastern NC.  This one so named because it has some webbing between some of the toes although good luck seeing that in the field.  This one was at Fort Fisher.


Shorter stubbier bill than a Western SP, and dark legs unlike a Least SP.
