Great Egret (Ardea alba) - 12May2016 and 05Mar2017

Here in the Southeast, non-birders call Herons and Egrets by the misnomer Crane.  Here is a Great Egret at Buxton, NC displaying his annoyance at being called a Crane.

Here is one in breeding plumage at Carolina Beach Lake.
