Scintillant Hummingbird (Selasphorus scintilla) - 22Nov2016

This little munchkin is only slightly larger than the Cuban Bee Hummingbird which is the smallest bird in the world.  I photographed this near Poas Volcano.  Its not totally obvious from the picture, but the tail feathers were all rufous.  The similar Volcano Hummingbird has green central tail feathers.  I hope to get a photo of a nice male sometime soon.
