Clay-colored Thrush (Turdus grayi) - 22Nov2016 and 23Oct2017 & 18Apr2019

The national bird of Costa Rica which has some of the most colorful birds on the planet is the plain looking Clay-colored Thrush.  Apparently the designation is based on its lovely song and the fact that it graces gardens even in San Jose.

This photo was taken at Freddie Fresa's roadside garden near Poas.

These photos were taken on my trip to the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas in 2017 with my brothers.
