White-bellied Woodstar (Chaetocercus mulsant) - 08Aug2024

Much like the Purple-throated Woodstar, this little Andean hummer sounds like a bumblebee when zooming around the feeder set-ups.  However, this one seemed to be much more scarce than the Purple-throated at least at the spots we went to.  They look pretty similar except for the eponymous white belly on this one.  I got these pics at the Observatorio de Colibries in the central cordillera east of Bogota.
