Cuban Pygmy-owl (Glaucidium siju) - 02Jan2017

This is one of the few owl species that doesn't seem to mind sitting out in broad daylight.  In fact all pygmy owls have this disregard for owl norms.  This particular one sat 10 feet away from me and probably would have let me pet it.  Seen at Soplillar near Playa Larga in Cuba.
