Flowers

Who doesn't love a nice flower?  I have been admiring flowers for years and so why not start a Photo list.  For my first flower in the list I present the Blanket Flower which is ubiquitous on the beaches all up and down NC.

 Here is a Bushy Sea Oxeye from Fort fisher with a Saltmarsh Skipper nectaring.

Here is a Rose of Plymouth (Sabatia stellaris) also at Fort Fisher in Aug 2020.

Our local wild Iris is Southern Blue Flag Iris photographed dead in the center of Holly Shelter Gamelands next to a large impoundment on 30Apr2022.
