I didn't realize it at the time, but when the Red-legged Thrush was split into an Eastern and Western species grouping, I was getting an arm-chair tick when I photographed this one in the Dominican Republic which hosts the Eastern group. This photo was taken from our Air B&B in the mountains during a steady rain. It was feeding on worms and bugs collecting in the puddles.
