Crested Oropendola is the most widespread and common of the 6 species in the genus, inhabiting forests from Panama down to northern Argentina. The ice blue eye makes this bird all the more intriguing. We had tons of them feeding in the fruit trees on the grounds of Pousada Aguape in the southern Pantanal in Brazil.
