Yucatan Wren (Campylorhynchus yucatanicus) - 17Apr2019

Yucatan Wren is a Mexican endemic on the north coast of the Yucatan peninsula and currently has a Near Threatened status. Of the 15 species in this genus, this one is the most imperiled.  It is always special to find a bird on my own, without a guide as I did this one.  Mexico gets a bad rap as a dangerous place but when I took my family on a trip through the Yucatan we only encountered friendly people and beautiful places.
