Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe) - 02Jan2022 & 08Oct2023 & 14Jan2025
Eastern Phoebes definitely have a place in my heart as one of my local birds that can easily be found in my favorite birding spots. Although they are migratory, we in NC are lucky to get some most of the year as the ones further north will spend time with us in the winter and we get others in breeding season that migrate further south. Although sometimes they can be confused with Eastern Wood Pewees, if you see the characteristic tail bobbing you know you have a Phoebe. All the following pics taken in NC.
