White-throated Sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis) - 14Jan2023 & 12Jun2023

Oddly enough I don't have a ton of pictures of this common wintering sparrow in my area (North Carolina).  I guess familiarity breeds contempt.  Commonality aside, it is a beautiful bird in its own right. Although it does not usually sing full songs in the winter, it can be quite vocal.  My first photo is from NC but my second photo is from Nova Scotia where I visited during breeding season and they were singing loud and clear from the evergreen habitat they prefer.
