Colombia is the kind of country that has so many birds that you are likely to be surprised with a species you didn't expect even expect despite studying up the birds for months prior. This White-winged Swallow is not very rare but I somehow was amazed when I saw it. A swallow with white wings??!! Who knew? We saw these at Km4 in Magdalena Colombia and did not end up seeing anymore for the rest of the trip.
