This is another Colombian endemic brushfinch in the genus Atlapetes. Although this one has a wider range than the Santa Marta Brushfinch, it is more scarce and the area it is in is not as protected. Consequently it has an IUCN status of Near Threatened. The below photos were obtained at Ukuku Lodge.
