Santa Marta Bush Tyrant (Myiotheretes pernix) - 03-04Aug2019
This Colombian endemic is restricted to a very small area in the Santa Marta mountains of northeast Colombia. They are considered endangered per IUCN criteria due to habitat loss. There is estimated to be only 600-1,700 birds left. They look very similar to the Streak-throated Bush Tyrant although they have much less prominent streaking on the throat.
