This is one flycatcher species that I have no shortage of pictures. They are increasingly showing up as vagrants in eastern states, probably as they get pushed out of their natural ranges by wild fires and other disturbances. In the first few photos we have a bird found in the center of Raleigh, NC! It was found in a postage stamp sized park in the center of town. The last couple photos are from a reservoir (Buckhorn) about 45 minutes east of Raleigh. When any empidonax flycatcher shows up in the winter in NC, you probably have something good!
