This is yet another Brazilian endemic although it does have a large range in eastern Brazil. We saw it in two places on our second trip to Brazil including Sitio Pau Preto in Potengi which is an excellent reserve for picking up a variety of eastern Brazil endemics. It is the only member of its genus and has no known sub-species.
