Chestnut-sided Warbler (Setophaga pensylvanica) - 07May2016

I have mixed feelings about Chestnut-sided Warblers.  They look cool, sing nicely but the issue is that they are outcompeting Golden-winged Warblers in NC and elsewhere.  That being said, if they weren't so common they would maybe be just as nice to look at than a Golden-winged.  This one was photographed on territory at Rich Mountain in Watauga county, NC.
