The Diamantina Tapaculo is an Endangered Brazilian endemic per IUCN criteria only described as a new species in 2007. It only resides in the Chapada Diamantina in Bahia State. This little sucker was running around in rock crevices in very poor light so I was lucky to get any shot off at all. It is one of 49 species of tapaculo in the genus.
