This is a widespread species in South America with a couple of very disjunction populations, one in the north and the other in the southeast which a legacy of deforestation and fragmentation by humans. They also have a population on Tobago island which has been suggested to be a separate species but so far has not been split. We had them in several places on my second trip to Brazil but most times they were hard to photograph This photo was taken in Barro Branco in Lençóis, Bahia State, Brazil.
